The prototype of the Thrifty website is done in high fidelity and a lot of energy was focused on making it realistic and containing a lot of useful features connected to previous part with the research and competitor analysis. Features and ideas were improved and/or removed from the sitemap and the lo-fi mockup to create a innovative and effective prototype as possible. The prototype is done in Adobe XD and is also interactive. When creating the prototype visual hierarchy was used.

When designing and constructing the prototype, the results from the research done in part one of this project were kept in mind as much as possible. In general, the design is aimed to please our main target group which is young adults ages 14-24. We also decided to make the design as clean as possible, since this was an important aspect according to the survey done during the research. A few neon colors were used throughout the website to get a unique feeling, but a lot of white was also used when it comes to backgrounds along with a simple black text. This is to keep that clean design mentioned before. The typeface used throughout the website is a sans-serif called Segoe UI and is used both for headlines and running texts. One exception is the typeface found on the “My Store” where another typeface is used on the profile. This is just to fit the aesthetic better.

On the landing page, there is a section called “Top sellers right now” and it shows the four most popular sellers you can find on the website at this moment. This was inspired by one of our competitors, Plick, who has "Popular users". The sellers are presented in a way inspired by social media with round profile pictures with a username underneath. This is for attracting more people and also for adding a social feeling to Thrifty as a platform. This is also the aim of the “My store” pages. When clicking on @ericasvensson either on the homepage or the “Become a seller” page, her personalized Thrifty shop will pop up, along with her profile picture and description.
